Uranium containing Co4MnAl combustion catalysts (prepared by calcination of LDH precursors) are more active in oxidation of ethanol, but produce higher amount of acetaldehyde. In toluene combustion, there is no significant improvement in the action of the uranium modified catalysts, compared to that of the parent non-modified catalyst. Both catalysts comprising potassium showed similar catalytic activity as those promoted with uranium. All other promoters examined worsened the catalyst activity.
Uranové katalyzátory jsou aktivní, ale ne dostatečně selektivní v oxidaci etanolu.
