Sandstone landscapes are important ecological phenomenon in Europe. Their vegetation development differ from areas outside them. We were able to study Late-Glacial to Late Holocene development from peat profiles at three different sandstone areas of the Czech Republic.

Pískovcové skalní oblasti představují důležitý ekologický fenomén. Jejich vegetační vývoj se výrazně liší od vývoje okolních oblastí. Měli jsme možnost zkoumat vývoj vegetace od pozdního glaciálu až po období mladšího holocénu ve třech pískovcových oblastech České Republiky. Kapitola popisuje zvláštnosti tohoto vegetačního vývoje.
