The nematode Cucullanus robustus Yamaguti, 1935 (Cucullanidae) is redescribed from specimens collected from the intestine of Conger myriaster (Brevoort) (Osteichthyes) collected off the southern coast of South Korea in September 2005. Examinations of its morphology by both light and scanning electron microscopy (latter used in this species for the first time) revealed some previously unreported morphological features. The finding of C. robustus in Korean waters represents a new geographical record for this parasite.

Na základě exemplářů ze střeva mořských úhořů Conger myriaster (Brevoort) (Osteichthyes) chycených u jižního pobřeží Jižní Koreje v září 2005 je redeskribována hlístice Cucullanus robustus Yamaguti, 1935 (Cucullanidae). Studium morfologie tohoto druhu pomocí světelné a řádkovací elektronové mikroskopie (tato u C. robustus poprvé použita) ukázalo na některé dříve neuváděné morfologické znaky. Nález C. robustus v korejských vodách představuje nový geografický záznam tohoto parazita.
