Physiological investigation of olfactory receptor neurons (ORN)s in .I.M. sexta./I. long sensilla trichodea confirmed already known fact that majority ORNs are sensitive to E10, Z12-hexadecadienal (bombykal) and E10,E12,Z14-hexadecatrienal. New types of ORNs tuned to E10,E12-hexadecadienal and Z11-hexadecadienal were found.
