Comparison of 2D gels with hemolymph of pupariating and wandering larvae revealed clear differences between the protein maps of hemolymph of the two developmental stages. The protein in the differential spot has a mass of about 60 kDa and a pI near pH 6. We presume that this protein may be associated with pupariation accelerating activity of the heamolymph.
