    The short range order of multicomponent SeO.sup.2 glasses has been studied by neutron scattering. To identify the contribution of SeO.sup.2 different oxides, MoO.sup.3, V.sup.2 O.sup.5, Bi.sup.2 O.sup.3 were used dor glass synthesis.Crystal like model distribution functions were calculated in order to describe the experimental RDFs. It was established that the coordination state of Se in relation to oxygen remains unchanged, n=3. A shortening of Se-O distances in SeO.sup.3 pyramids was observed. These distances change from 1.78 A in crystalline SeO.sup.2 to 1.72 in selenite glasses.
