The complexes of Os with p-cymene, chloride and bis(diphenylphosphino)- or bis(diethylphosphino)- or (diisopropylphosphino)ferrocene were synthesized and characterized by NMR, X-ray and spectroelectrochemically. Osmium(II)- ferrocenium species is formed on reversible one-electron oxidation. The second oxidation and the reduction are electrochemically irreversible.
