Evaluation of biomarkers in blood and urine for their sensitivities as indicators of low levels occupational exposures to 1,3-butadiene (BD). Personal 8-h BD exposure measures were made over a 60-day period in a group of 58 BD monomer production workers, 34 polymerization workers and 25 controls. Co-exposures to styrene, toluene and benzene were also measured.
