We found a functional recovery, good survivalo of TH - positive cells and astrogliosis in grafted rats at 3 - 5 months after grafting.The increase in ECS diffusion barriers corresponded to the astrogliosis in and around the grafts. The increase in ECSS diffusion barriers corresponded to the astrogliosis in and around the grafts. The increase of extracellular tortuosity therefore suggests an impediment of DA diffusion from the gtrafts into the lesioned striatum.
