The influence of the environmental factors on forest ecosystems is very complex and thus to make study, quantification and final analyse/synthesis elaboration is a very hard task. The historical development in forest and ecological sciences resulted in two main branches of the forest ecosystem studies. For these branches is characteristic the significant focus on the description of the mass and energy flow through the ecosystem under study.
