The manuscript of the Moralia (today in Herzogenburg, Stiftsbibliothek 94/1-2) was copied by Johann de Briga, a Carthusian in Mauerbach, who took it to Dolany near Olomouc (where he died in 1404) shortly after it was made. The illuminations, however, were made in the 1390s in Prague. All four illuminators can be identified as painters who worked in Prague for church clients and were probably not identical to the contemporary court illuminators.
