This paper is a record of the speech held on the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 1999. The speech dealt with theoretical opinions of Mirko Baum, Miroslav Šik, Petr Pelčák, Josef Pleskot, Alena Šrámková, Emil Přikryl, Ladislav Lábus and other contemporary Czech architects.
