A mode of non-destructive simultaneous determination of Br and I concentrations, using the method of reactor INAA in the regime of short-term activation, in the rat thyroid and in the speciation of fractions separated from this organ, is described. The analytical response to the nuclides 80Br and 128I was measured by the high resolution - ray spectrometry. The contents of 0.1g Br and from 0.4 to 10g I were determined in samples of the thyroid gland of 5 mg (dw).
