    Homogenous pure and Dy - doped Ge-Ga-Se glasses were synthesized.From the absorbtion spectra the oscilla/or strengths pf six f-felectron transitions of Dy3+ ions and Judd-Ofelt parameters wereevaluated. The emissin spectra are presented and discussed.
