Following tradition of research in the United states, the connection between age and attitudes toward social change is examined using eleven Czech national surveys from 1990-1998. Specifically, association between age and respondent's anxiety about economic and social reforms is analyzed. We found that older Czechs are generally more conservative about the reforms, net of their economic experiences and anxiety about them, and these age differences did not change with the phases of reforms since 1990.
