Stat'ja rassmatrivajet sovremennoje sostojanije filologii. Novyje tečenija, kak dekonstruktivizm i postmodernizm, pokazali literaturovedenije kak sovokupnost' metodov i metodologičeski izolirovannych diskussionnych grupp. Odbor otmečajet jego tesnuju svjaz' s social'nymi naukami (politologijej, sociologijej), kotoryje okazyvajut vlijanije na metodologiju literaturovedenija; s drugoj storony, neobchodimo sokranit' specifičeskije čerty literaturovedenija, osobenno te, kotoryje svjazany s formalizmom i strukturalizmom.

The author of the article deals with the contemporary state of philology. The new currents, e. g. deconstructivism and postmodernism, manifested literary scholarship as a cluster of methods and discourse groups which are methodologically isolated. He asserts that it has been in close contact with social sciences (political sciences, sociology) which influence the methodology of literary scholarship; on the other hand, it is inevitable to preserve the specific features of literary scholarship, especially those linked with formalism and structuralism.
