The potential anticonvulsant effect of group III metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR)agonist (R,S)-phosphonophenylglycine against seizures induced in immature rats by bilateral infusion of DL-homocysteic acid was examined. Our findigs suggest that group III mGlu receptor agonist may be of therapeutic significance for treating childhood epilepsy.
