    Amplification and cloning of the Schrödinger-cat state (even coherent/state superposition) in the optical nondegenerate parametric amplifier are analysed. In the long-time limit, distinguishability and interference in the marginal probability distributions of the Schrödinger-cat state cannot be preserved simultaneously during amplification.
