    This paper presents a quasiharmonic model for the lattice dynamics of the Sn2P2S6 crystal.The model constructed combination of the valence force field and the polarizable ion model with majority of potential parameters fixed by auxilary Hartree-Fock calculations, enables us to calculate spectra for both the paraelectric and the ferroelectric structure.
