In barrow cemetery, dated from older and middle bronze age, situated in Borotice (Znojmo distr.) a contracted burial was investigated in tomb II of the tumulus no. 15. The equipment consisted of a bowl, a mug, a cup, an axe, an arrowhead, a bronze stick with one end slightly extented, a stick wound around a wire and several fragments of spirals made of wire. The Borotice tomb can be most likely considered as the first well-know tomb of a metal hammerer.
