This article is the first comprehensive evaluation ofthe findings that have been brought about by along period of archaeological investigation of the desertedmedieval village of Bystřec that lies in the cadastralarea of Jedovnice, district of Blansko.The investigationhas featured geophysical methods for surveying of subsequently excavated areas, and for evaluating of the investigation.The investigation has been judged from thepoint of view of urbanization, complexity of the settlement, and life of its inhabitants.
