Raně středověká pevnost Libice nad Cidlinou byla postavena ve strategicky výhodné poloze při soutoku Labe s Cidlinou v době kolem roku 800 a fungovala zde téměř čtyři staletí.

The early medieval stronghold of Libice was built in a strategically advantegous position at the confluence of the Labe and Cidlina rivers around the year 800 and functioned there for almost four centuries.
