Influence of UV and combined MWůUV irradiation on 2-tert-butylphenol (2TBP) transformation was investigated in the presence and in the absence of sensitizers with different value of singlet and triplet energy and in the presence of solvents with different polarity. Irradiation by UV and also by combination MWůUV gave three C---C dimers: 3,3'-di-tert-butylbiphenyl-2,2'-diol (1) (orthoůortho), 3,3'-di-tert-butylbiphenyl-2,4'-diol (2) (orthoůpara) a 3,3'-di-tert-butylbiphenyl-4,4'-diol (3) (para/para).

Vliv UV a kombinovaného MW/UV záření na přeměnu 2-terc-butylfenolu (2TBP) byl studován v přítomnosti a absenci senzibilátorů s různou hodnotou singletové a tripletové energie, a v přítomnosti solventů s rozdílnou polaritou. Ozařováním UV a také kombinací MW/UV byly připraveny tři C-C dimery: 3,3'-di-terc-butylbifenyl-2,2'-diol (1) (ortho/ortho), 3,3'-di-terc-butylbifenyl-2,4'-diol (2) (ortho/para) a 3,3'-di-terc-butylbifenyl-4,4'-diol (3) (para/para).
