Our experimental study is aimed at finding effects of operating conditions in Pressurized Fluidized Bed Combustion (PFBC) of subbituminous coals differing in ash content/composition and in particle size distribution on nitrogen oxide ( NOx + N2O) emissions. The experiments have been performed on a smaller laboratory apparatus with ID = 8 cm. The effects of operating pressure (0.1 - 1 MPa), temperature of the fluidized bed ( 800 - 900 oC), freeboard temperature and oxygen concentration (3 - 10 vil. %) in flue gas on the nitrogen oxides emissions is relatively complex, coupled with temperature of burning coal particles. The NOx emissions decrease with increasing pressure, the N2O emissions can exhibite a maximum at pressure 0.2 - 0.5 MPa or can be practically constant. At higher temperatures (900 oC) the N2O emissions are small/negligible.
Experimenty byly realizovány v malém laboratorním aparátu o průměru 10 cm. Emise NOx klesají s rostoucím tlakem, emise N2O vykazují maximum při tlacích 0,2 – 0,5 MPa.
