Věhlas jezuitských poutních míst se do povědomí širokých vrstev společnosti dosával nejen ústně předávanými zprávami o zázračných uzdraveních a o velkolepých poutních slavnostech, ale důležitou úlohu pro jejich propagaci znamenala tištěná poutní produkce - tištěné sbírky zázraků.
