The detection of SCV isolates from herbaceous host and strawberry plant material was posible though use of a newly developed gel-based RT-PCR and gel-free AmpliDet RNA assay. Both methods have the potential to provide rapid, sensitive and specific detection of SCV in invitro propagation material.

Byla nově vyvinuta metoda gelové RT-PCR a bezgelové AmpliDet RNA, která umožňuje detekci izolátů SCV z bylinných hostitelů a rostlin jahodníku. Obě metody jsou vhodné pro rychlou, citlivou a specifickou detekci SCV v rostlinách rozmnožovaných in vitro.
