In this study, the products of the reaction between Eu₂O₃ oxides and NH₄Cl were investigated with X-ray powder diffraction, Mossbauer and EPR spectroscopies and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Only the paramagnetic susceptibilty measurements revealed beyond doubt the presence of divalent Eu^{2 +} impurity

Reakce mezi Eu₂O₃ a NH₄Cl byla sledována s použitím metod rentgenové difrakce, Mossbauerovy a EPR spekroskopie a měření magnetické susceptibility. Nečistotu ve formě dvojmocných iontů Eu^{2 +} bylo možno spolehlivě rozpoznat pouze z teplotní závislosti paramagnetické susceptibility
