The smectic liquid crystals can exhibit the sequence of phase transitions from the untilted SmA phase to the ferroelectric tilted SmC^* phase and(or) to the different hexatic phases. In particular, it is shown that in the transition region between the phases SmB^*_hex and Sml^*, should exist

Smektické kapalné krystaly mohou procházet řadou fázových přechodů ze SmA fáze s nenakloněnými molekulami do feroelektrické SmC* fáze s nakloněnými molekulami a dále (nebo) do různých hexatických fází. Kromě jiného je ukázáno, že mezi fázemi SmB^*_hex a SmI* by měla existovat nesouměřitelná struktura
