Here, we present our effort to isolate new homologous and heterologous promoters that could be useful to drive efficiently in either a constitutive or a regulated fashion expression of genes of interests in S. occidentalis. Promoter regions of TDH3, RPL42 (homolog of S. occidentalis SCR2), and ENA1 genes from a phylogenetically close yeast Debaryomyces hansenii and that of the S. occidentalis ENA1 gene were isolated and cloned upstream from the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase-encoding gene of Staphylococcus aureus that was used as a reporter of promoters' strength.

V práci ukazujeme, že izolace nových homologních či heterologních promotorů může být užitečná pro regulaci exprese heterologních genů v kvasince S.occidentalis.
