    The ternary oxide Ba8Ti3Nb4O24 was synthesized and its crystal structure was reexamined using single crystal X-ray diffraction. Ba8Ti3Nb4O24 is a B-site deficient "hexagonal" perovskite with a (hccc)2 -type stacking sequence of the BaO3 layers
