Auxotrofic aroA deletion mutant of Salmonella Typhimurium did not induce inflammatory cytokines in the ileum and plasma after oral infection of germ-free pigs. It did not cause induction of reactive oxygen and nitrogen metabolites. The absence of inflammatory markers was observed in spite of translocation of bacteria into internal organs

Infekce bezmikrobních prasat auxotrofním aroA delečním mutantem Salmonella Typhimurium nevyvolala indukci zánětových cytokinů ani reaktivních kyslíkových a dusíkových metabolitů. Nepřítomnost zánětových znaků byla pozorována přes translokaci bakterií do vnitřních orgánů
