Lokalita Psané skály u Poličan se podle ústní tradice objevila ve vlastivědné literatuře v polovině 19.století, na mapách až ve 20.století.Historická graffiti ze 16. a 17. století na skalní tabuli v údolí potoka Mastníku spojovali historikové s husity, mikulášenci či českými bratry. Snahy využít tohoto artefaktu k podpoře konfesních, národních či státních mýtů se nezdařily pro absenci písemných pramenů. Současná ústní tradice odráží celou řadu pověstí a lokalita trpí turistickým ruchem

Locality "Psané skály" near "Poličany" first appeared in the homeland studies in the first half of the 19th century (based on the oral tradition). On the map however, it was not to be found till the 20ieth century. Historians connected some historical graffiti that had been made during the 16th and the 17th centrury on the rock board in the valley of Mastník creek to the Hussites, followers of Nicholas, or other Czech brothers. The effort to use this artifact to the support of national or state mythology was not succesful because of the lack of written resources. The contemporary oral traditon reflects however many legends. The locality also suffers from a heavy tourist activity
