This study investigated the humoral immune responses of goats experimentally infected with Fascioloides magna and Fasciola hepatica to F. magna excretory/ secretory products or F. hepatica excretory/secretory products, respectively. The cross-reaction of antibodies developed against F. magna and F. hepatica with excretory/secretory products was recorded by ELISA. The species-specific proteins from F. magna and from F. hepatica were detected by two dimensional electrophoresis and immunoblot as the potential immunodiagnostic markers. F. magna and F. hepatica infection could be distinguished by common immunological techniques based on species-specific antigen–antibodies interaction.

Byla sledována protilátková odpověď v průběhu experimentální infekce koz motolicemi Fascioloides magna a Fasciola hepatica za použití jejich exkrečních/sekrečních produktů jako antigenů. Pomocí ELISA testu byla zjištěna zkřížená protilátková odpověď proti Fascioloides magna a Fasciola hepatica exkrečním/sekrečním produktům. Pomocí dvourozměrné gelové elektroforézy a imunoblotu byly prokázány druhově specifické proteiny, které představují potenciální imunodiagnostické markry. Infekce motolicemi F. magna a F. hepatica je možno diferenciálně diagnostikovat pomocí obvyklých imunologických postupů založených na druhově specifické vazbě antigenu s protilátkou.
