Studie podává stručnou charakteristiku etnických vztahů na Šrí Lance, hodnotí dosavadní kroky ke zrovnoprávnění tamilské menšiny a zamýšlí se nad možnostmi ukončení občanské války v zemi na základě všeobecně přijatelné devoluce.

The paper presents a brief overview of the ethnic relations in Sri Lanka, evaluates the past steps taken to grant equal rights to the Tamil minority and speculates on the possibility of ending the civil war in the country on the basis of generally acceptable devolution.
