To prevent possible abuse of market power in the future an antitrust agency can force merging firms to divest some of their assets. The divested assets can be sold through an auction either to existing competitors or a new entrant. An analysis of a Cournot market with fixed capital (assets) is conducted.

K předcházení možného zneužití tržní síly může antimonopolní úřad přinutit fúzující firmy zbavit se některých svých aktiv. Tato aktiva mohou být odprodána prostřednictvím aukce buďto současné konkurenci nebo novým potenciálním firmám.
