Tento rok uplyne 100 let od úmrtí Jiřího Wolkera. Jedním z vrcholů jeho tvorby je báseň Svatý Kopeček (1921). Naše ústřední teze spočívá v tom, že mluvčí v Svatém Kopečku je stylizován jako mesiáš, což podpoříme textovými důkazy z této básně. Začleněním křesťanské symboliky do naší analýzy chceme ukázat, že česká avantgarda zahrnuje také prvky hyperbolicko-titánské stylizace.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Jiří Wolker’s death. One of the highlights of his work is the poem Svatý Kopeček (1921). Our central thesis is that the speaker in Svatý Kopeček is styled as a messiah, which we will support with textual evidence from Svatý Kopeček. By incorporating Christian symbolism into our analysis, we aim to demonstrate that Czech avant-garde also includes elements of hyperbolic-titanic stylization.
