Článek se věnuje chronologii Agoratova udání významných demokratů, vylíčeného v Lýsiově Obžalobě Agorata (XIII,13-38), ve vztahu ke Xenofóntově popisu athénské kapitulace (Hell. II,2,17-23). Článek argumentuje, že námitky proti chronologii prezentované Lýsiou nejsou nepřekonatelné a že Lýsiův klient nemohl riskovat otevřenou lež, která by navíc posílila jeho pozici jen velmi málo. Proto by se mělo věřit Lýsiovi, že k udání došlo den před athénskou kapitulací.

The article deals with the chronology of Agoratus’ denunciation of important democrats, as narrated in Lysias’ Against Agoratus (XIII,13–38), in relation to Xenophon’s description of Athenian capitulation to Lysander (Hell. II,2,17–23). It is argued that objections against the chronology of events presented by Lysias are not decisive, and that Lysias’ client was not in the position to risk a blatant lie that would, moreover, boost his position only very slightly. Therefore, Lysias’ putting the denunciation on the day before the Athenian capitulation should be accepted.
