Článek se zabývá hrou Johana Kleinhampla “Brevis Fortunae Faber” (Strůjce krátkého štěstí). Toto drama, předvedené žáky jezuitského gymnázia na Novém Městě pražském 31. 5. 1738, se běžné jezuitské školské produkci vymyká v několika ohledech: je psáno z větší části v próze a svým neobvyklým hrdinou stejně jako námětem jednodenního krále, který známe např. z předehry Shakespearova “Zkrocení zlé ženy”, představuje jednu z mála “čistých” komedií v tomto typu her.

The article deals with play “Brevis Fortunae Faber” (The Creator of Short-Term Happiness) by Johannes Kleinhampl. This drama, performed by the pupils of the Jesuit grammar school in the Prague New Town college on 31 May 1738, differs from the usual Jesuit school production in several aspects. It is written for the most part in prose, and with its unusual hero as well as the theme of the one-day king, known for example from the overture to Shakespeare's “Taming of the Shrew,” it represents one of the few “pure” comedies among the plays of this kind.
