Příspěvek se věnuje popisu dvou epizod z husitských válek z června 1420 v Husitské kronice Vavřince z Březové. Argumentuje, že významným organizačním principem je autorova úcta k české šlechtě: v první epizodě Oldřich z Rožmberka zradí husitskou věc, což vede k jeho porážce Mikulášem z Husi, jehož portrét je v Kronice přinejlepším ambivalentní, zradu tak musí vyvážit úspěch tří jiných českých šlechticů, kteří osvobodí Hradec Králové od stoupenců Zikmunda Lucemburského. Autor učinil z nich, místo ze skutečného vítěze nad Oldřichem z Rožmberka, vzory českého kališnického šlechtictví.

The article analyses two episodes of the Hussite Wars in June 1420, as described in the Hussite Chronicle by Lawrence of Březová. It is argued that an important organising principle is the author’s esteem for Czech nobility: in the first episode, the treachery of Ulrich of Rosenberg leads to his defeat at the hands of Nicholas of Hus, whose presentation in the Chronicle is ambivalent at best, the betrayal thus needs to be balanced by the accomplishment of three other Czech Hussite nobles who liberate the city of Hradec Králové from the supporters of King Sigismund of Luxemburg. The author has made them, rather than the actual winner over Rosenberg, embody the positive example of a Hussite nobleman.
