Additive manufacturing (3D printing) of metallic parts becomes today very effective production technology, which substitute standard tooling procedures. Nevertheless, improper setting the 3D printing parameters lead to the printed part defects like cracks or porosity etc., which are not detectable with simple standard nondestructive methods. For that purpose we elaborated nonlinear elastic wave spectroscopy allowing quantitative evaluation of that defects occurrence.
