Cílem knihy je představit čtenářům rozdílné typy latinských středověkých textů a uvést je do českých pramenů pozdního středověku. Tato kapitola je věnována univerzitní učebnici komputistiky, tzv. komputu. Ve zvolené ukázce jsou vysvětlovány některé základní chronologické pojmy. Edice je připravena podle rukopisu Národní knihovny v Praze I G 24, latinský text je doplněn překladem a komentářem. Předmluva pojednává o druzích a funkci komputu, stylu učebnic a účelu komentářů.

The aim of the book is to present different types of medieval Latin texts and introduce the readers to late medieval sources from the Czech lands. This chapter represents the university textbook of computistics, called computus. The chosen part explains some basic terms of chronology. The edition is based on the manuscript of Prague National Library I G 24, the Latin text is accompanied by a Czech translation and notes. The introduction deals with the kinds and the function of computus, with style of textbooks and purpose of commentaries.
