Úvodní článek k pásmu diskusních studií 'Aristotelés a tradice'. V první části je rozebírán koncept tradice a jeho význam pro řeckou antickou kulturu obecně. Dále se pozornost přesouvá na pole filosofie s důrazem zejména na klasické attického období, počínaje sofisty, přes Sókrata a Platónem konče. Ve druhé části je představena zásadní filosofická role, kterou tradici přisoudil Aristotelés. Ve třetí části je pak krátce představena koncepce pásma.

Introductory article to the thematic group of studies on the topic 'Aristotle and tradition'. The first part discusses the concept of tradition and its importance to ancient Greek culture in general. Furthermore, the attention shifts to the field of philosophy with particular emphasis on the classical Attic period, beginning with the Sophists, through Socrates and ending with Plato. The second part introduces fundamental philosophical role that Aristotle attributed to tradition. The third part briefly introduces the concept of the thematic group.
