Cílem příspěvku je upozornit na možnosti využití crowdsourcingu a participativních nástrojů GIS při komunitním řešení nenadálých krizových situací. Jako případová studie je zvolena platforma Ushahidi, která umožňuje rychlé nasazení při nutnosti operativního sběru dat v těžko dostupném terénu při výpadku profesionálních kartografů/geoinformatiků. Příspěvek je teoreticky ukotven v hluboké rešerši zejména zahraničních studií a přístupů k participativnímu a komunitnímu mapování, přičemž případová studie demonstrující implementaci platformy Ushahidi je lokalizována do prostředí města Uherské Hradiště při mapování předem delimitovaných kategorií rizik.

This paper aims to draw attention to the possibility of using crowdsourcing and participatory GIS tools in the community handle unexpected crises. As a case study we have chosen platform Ushahidi, which enables rapid deployment when necessary and operational data collection in heavily accessible terrain inaccessible for professional cartographers. The paper is theoretically anchored in deeply rooted research of mainly foreign studies and approaches to participatory and community-mapping. Selected case study demonstrates the implementation of the Ushahidi platform and it is located in the city of Uherské Hradiště, where previously delimited risk categories have been mapped.
