Projekt s podporou Operačního programu Výzkum a vývoj pro inovace (VaVpI) vzniká ve spolupráci Vysoké školy báňské – Technické univerzity Ostrava (příjemce dotace z evropských strukturálních fondů) a partnera – Ústavu geoniky AV ČR. Doba jeho řešení je čtyři roky (2011–2014); v následujících pěti letech udržitelnosti musí centrum vykazovat předepsané hodnoty kontrolovaných indikátorů z oblasti vědeckých a aplikovaných výsledků, zaměstnanosti, vzdělávání, příjmů ze smluvního výzkumu a grantových projektů. Výše dotace činí téměř 300 milionů korun; z toho investiční náklady na nákup a instalaci přístrojů okolo 225 milionů.

Project with support from the Operational Programme Research and Development for Innovation (RDI) is produced in collaboration VSB - Technical University of Ostrava (recipient of grants from the European Structural Funds) and partner - Institute of Geonics. The time of its solution is four years (2011-2014); in the next five years, the sustainability of the Centre shall have the specified values checked indicators in the field of scientific and applied results, employment, education, income from contract research and grant projects.
