Masaryk's concept of modern human crisis stems from historical philosophical thesis that the modern world develops from catholic to protestant way of thinking. This process of transition isn't linear, but complicated and painful. One of phenomena accompanying this crisis is suicide rate. The negative atmosphere and fragmentation of society dominating to the end of nineteen century justified Masaryk's view that the time is 'born' for a new religion. In the same time concept of synergism to which Masaryk undestands as to mankind activity joining the present with the eternity was formulated.
