Článek se zabývá fungování kanceláře České akademie věd a umění. Podává přehled funkcionářů, jejich pravomocí a popisuje jejich skutečnou účast na vyřizování dokumentů. Text se rozvněž věnuje administrativním pracovníkům ČAVU. Zaznamenává postupnou specializaci administrativních prací, vyplývající z nárůstu úřední agendy. Podrobně je popsán oběh dokumentů, způsob jejich zpracování a následného uložení.

The article deals with the functioning of the Office of the Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts and its documents. It provides an overview of officers, their authority, and describes their real participation in the processing of documents. The same space is also devoted to administrative officers of the Office of the Academy. It records the gradual differentiation of administrative works related with the accumulation of processed paperwork. Circulation, the method of processing and subsequent storage of documents are described in detail.
