Theorems on the unique solvability and non-negativity of solutions of the Darboux problem for hyperbolic functional-differential equations are established, where the linear operators on the right-hand side of the equation map suitable function spaces into the space of essentially bounded functions. General results are applied to hyperbolic equations with essentially bounded coefficients and argument deviations.
