Der Artikel befasst sich mit Konstruktion der Bilder von Brünn als „Heimat“ in der Presse und Literatur der vertriebenen Brünner Deutschen Ende der 1940er und in den 1950er Jahren. Als Quelle für Analyse benutzt er die sog. Heimatliteratur, das heißt Heimatblätter und Heimatbücher. Der Artikel analysiert, wie die Stadt Brünn und das Leben ihrer Bewohner in den ausgewählten Quellen interpretiert wurden und was die präsentierten Bilder über Erinnerungskultur, über Instrumentalisierung und Politisierung und Vergangenheitspolitik in der ausgewählten Zeitperiode aussagen können.

The article deals with construction of pictures of Brno as „homeland“ in the press (Heimatblätter) and literature (Heimatbuch) of the expelled Germans from Brno at the end of the 1940´s and in the 1950´s. The article analyses the ways of interpretation of the city of Brno and of the life of its inhabitants in these chosen sources (so called Heimatliteratur) and shows how the constructed pictures could be used as means of the politics of memory among the expelled Germans and how they could be exploited and politicized in the chosen time period.
