The paper deals with numerical determination of the effective resistance of a conductor as a function of the shape of its cross-section (whose surface remains constant) and frequency within the range 50 Hz - 500 MHz. Processing of the task starts from the description of the physical background, corresponding mathematical model and numerical method (FEM) of its solution.
