Meloxicam, a selective COX-2 inhibitor, whose therapeutic advantage is a low intensity and incidence of undesirable gastrointestinal side effects, supports hematopoiesis. The results suggest the promising possibility to use meloxicam as an auxiliary means reducing the high costs of G-CSF therapy of myelosuppression.

Meloxicam, selektivní COX-2 inhibitor, jehož terapeutickou výhodou je nízká intenzita a incidence gastrointestinálních nežádoucích vedlejších účinků, podporuje krvetvorbu. Výsledky naznačují možnost využití meloxicamu jako pomocného prostředku redukujícího vysoké náklady terapie myelosuprese pomocí G-CSF.
